Ruben Zarculea is a Vienna-based
artist, born in Zalău, Romania. Moving to Austria at age five, his
immigrant background and spiritual path deeply shape his work. A
self-taught painter, he began in 2021, exploring portraits and religious
themes as expressions of faith, vulnerability, and the human
experience.
Since then, he has created over 100
works and exhibited across Vienna. In 2025 alone, his art reached over
15 million views online and attracted more than 170,000 new followers.
His pieces are collected internationally and shipped worldwide.
